I’m a Writer-reporter at Fortune, where I’ve profiled Under Armour, James Stewart Jr., Leigh Steinberg, See’s Candies, David Chang, and Will.i.am, among many other print and web stories. My coverage focuses on sports business, tech, media, books, music and branding.
I’ve also written for Sports Illustrated, Salon, NPR.org, Wall Street Journal, New York Post, New York Daily News, The Daily Beast, Huffington Post, The Awl, The Hairpin, The Morning News, Jewcy, The Millions, The Classical, Vol. 1 Brooklyn, Flavorpill, PopMatters, The Rumpus, Berfrois, &c.
I went to college at Middlebury and grad school at Columbia. My undergrad thesis was on David Foster Wallace, Hunter S. Thompson, Tom Wolfe and the New Journalism; a condensed version was published at Salon. My grad school master’s project was about the New York cult author Tao Lin and his cohorts; selections from that were published at Salon and The Morning News.
All of my published journalism is under the Clips tab; criticism is under Reviews. I also write short fiction.
