Hi! I’m an Editor-at-Large at Yahoo Finance, where I write about sports business, bitcoin, big tech, and media, and appear on our daily live shows.
Before Yahoo, I spent five years at Fortune, where I wrote magazine profiles on companies like DraftKings, Adidas, Yelp, Anheuser-Busch InBev, and MasterCard, and people like Leigh Steinberg, Louis Freeh, Will.i.am, Dwayne Johnson, David Chang, George Foreman, Cal Ripken, and Gary Player. I also co-managed the 40 Under 40 franchise.
I’m the author of Zoom: Surprising Ways to Supercharge Your Career, a 2013 book about famous young entrepreneurs. I serve on the board of the Deadline Club. And I’m on TV occasionally at CBSN, ESPN, Golf Channel, and BBC World News.
I’ve also written for: Sports Illustrated; Time; Vice; Salon; The Guardian; The Paris Review; NPR.org; Deadspin; The Wall Street Journal; Entrepreneur; New York Post; New York Daily News; The Daily Beast; LitHub; The Awl; The Hairpin; The Morning News; The Millions; The Classical; Flavorpill; PopMatters; The Rumpus; Berfrois &more. And I’ve had some short fiction published.
I went to college at Middlebury and grad school at Columbia.
That’s everything… for now.
